All information that is collected, including credit card details, are protected using Internet standard 128 bit SSL encryption.

Luxury Downunder does need to provide certain information to various travel providers, including airlines and hotels, in the normal course of completing travel arrangements for our clients. Because Luxury Downunder wants to demonstrate its commitment to our users’ privacy, its information practices are disclosed in full below, covering the following.

1. What personally identifiable information Luxury Downunder collects, how it uses the information and with whom Luxury Downunder may share user information.

2. What choices are available to users regarding collection, use and distribution of the information.

3. What types of security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under Luxury Downunder’s control.

4. How users can control their information, or correct any inaccuracies in the information.

If users have questions or concerns regarding this statement, they should contact feedback@luxurydownunder.com.au.

1. Information Collection, Use & Sharing

Luxury Downunder is the sole owner of the information collected on www.luxurydownunder.com.au. Luxury Downunder collects information from our users at various points on the Website.

Luxury Downunder Profile
When a user makes a reservation or submits a travel request, certain personal information is required by the travel suppliers in the normal course of business. To save the user time on future visits, this information is stored in a password protected user profile. This information is also used to contact the user as required. Details on how you control this information can be found below.

Luxury Downunder Booking Engine
When a user makes a live hotel reservation, the hotel requires a credit card guarantee to accept the booking, although the user will not be charged until their stay. Luxury Downunder uses industry standard, 128 bit SSL security to encrypt and protect this information. Further details on security are found below.

Secure Payment Form
To receive payment for travel services that cannot be booked online, a Luxury Downunder consultant will collect credit card information from the user. In the majority of cases, this information is collected via telephone. However a user can also elect to make payment at a secure payment form at the website. This information is always sent encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on the secure form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just ‘surfing’. Please refer to “Security” section below.

Cookies
To make a reservation a user's computer must be able to accept cookies. This is to ensure that the correct information is collected during the booking process. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user. Also when a user creates a profile in the course of making a reservation, the user has the choice of whether a cookie is used to remember them on future visits. If a user deletes their profile at My Trips, the cookie is deleted from their computer.

Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Information Sharing
Luxury Downunder's parent company, GlobeNet Travel, is a licensed travel agency and collects certain personal information in the normal course of its business. This information is usually required to be shared with certain travel providers, such as airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc. No personal information is ever shared with any third-party unless it is required to complete travel arrangements. Aggregate information, which is collected by cookies and log files, is used for marketing purposes and is never linked to personally identifiable information. Aggregate information is never shared with any third-party.

Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site. Luxury Downunder has not been required to do so to date.

Business Transitions
In the event Luxury Downunder goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via email prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information.

If as a result of the business transition, the users’ personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.

If, however, we are going to use users’ personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner.

In addition, if we make any material changes in our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database, we will post a prominent notice on our Web site notifying users of the change.
