A very private place, the lodge is in 50 acres of private bushland with beautiful landscaped gardens and bushwalk trails through the surrounding eucalypt forest. In this idyllic location overlooking the Gold Coast, guests can be pampered, practice their golf, relax poolside with a drink and enjoy fine dining with the best of hosts attending to your every need!

Villas 1 and 2 are separated by a porch, Villa 3 stands alone. All are a short distance from the main lodge and enjoy magnificent views of the Gold Coast. The interior design is one of style and warmth with beautiful aged timbers used throughout. Each has its own covered deck and the bathrooms are large and well appointed. Beds are king size, (single beds available) and every effort has been taken with the selection of quality linen and toiletries. Rooms are provided with conveniences such as high-speed internet connections, video, satellite and free-to-air TV and each Villa has its own private phone number. Disabled are catered for with a villa, however Ruffles is built along a ridge and there are limited flat areas suitable for a wheelchair in the surrounding gardens.

Dining
The tariff includes a full breakfast. Dining starts with pre-dinner drinks and hors d'oeuvres served either at the gazebo by the pool, terrace or dining room depending on the mood and the weather. Guests dine dinner party style with a 3 course set menu, unless private dining is requested. The large covered terrace is used for dining during the warmer months and the poolside gazebo with its wood-fired oven is a great place for dinner or breakfast with views east across rambling hills to the ocean. The garden gazebo, situated on a raised knoll with views in all directions and the sun all day, is an ideal place to relax with a book, enjoy a coffee or a complimentary drink from the fridge. Your hosts are passionate about good food and the suppliers of fresh produce are chosen from far and wide to ensure top quality.

Activities
Fine tune your golf on the 85 metre par three practice area, relax by the 19 metre heated pool and therapeutic spa or enjoy a pampering session. Ruffles Lodge has been built on 50 acres with 3 acres of garden and parklands, bush and forest as neighbours. The tranquility and peace a beautiful garden instills is enhanced by the birds and animals that native plants and shrubs encourage, also by the inclusion of several water features. The mountainous areas of Lamington National Park, Springbrook and Mt Tamborine are a pleasant drive from Ruffles. Gold Coast attractions are within a 30 mins scenic drive.

It offers a private and secluded venue with full catering and personal attention to your needs in a friendly atmosphere in close proximity to the Gold Coast. Facilities include private phone numbers and high speed data connections, several meeting and break out areas.

Getting There
Located in the Gold Coast hinterland, 65km (45 mins) from Brisbane Airports and 60km (40 mins) from Coolangatta (Gold Coast) Airport. From Brisbane, access is south via the Pacific Motorway turning off exit 49 after Yatala to Willow Vale. From Coolangatta turn off the Pacific Motorway north at exit 57 for Oxenford. Both airports have regular flights from all Australian capital cities. Transfers can be arranged and free transfers are provided for stays of 3 days or more.

Golf
For the golfing enthusiast there is a par 3 golf hole with bunker, putting and chipping areas. The Gold Coast area is a golfer's paradise. Within a 30 mins drive from Ruffles Lodge, there are approximately 30 public and resort style golf courses and the Lodge provides a transfer service for guests.

Children
Ruffles Lodge is an adult retreat and does not provide for children except on an exclusive booking for the 3 villas.
