The Peppers Convent Hunter Valley Experience
Two hours north of Sydney in the Hunter Valley is this serene and unique retreat offering the ultimate experience for those guests wishing to truly indulge themselves. This romantic retreat was once home to the Brigidine Order of Nuns. After careful reconstruction it now sits amidst magnificent landscaped gardens and vineyards. Positioned within the Pepper Tree Complex, Peppers Convent is only a short stroll from the renowned Robert's Restaurant and Pepper Tree Winery and tasting barn.

Offering 17 elegant guest rooms, all are decorated in a lovely French Provincial style. French doors and deep verandahs with views over the Hunter Valley, huge double beds and original furniture. You’ll find all the Peppers luxuries you envisaged. A room is provided for people with disabilities with a modiified bathroom, hand rails and ramp.

Dining
Including the National Trust listed 1878 Pepper Tree Cottage, Robert's Restaurant has been described as the Hunter Valley's most beautiful dining room. With award-winning executive chef Jamie Hartcher at the helm, the menu at Chez Pok is a direct reflection of its regional surrounds featuring a unique Australian style influenced by French, Asian and Italian cuisine. Befitting their location in the heart of one of Australia’s premier wine producing areas, both restaurants showcase an extensive wine list consisting predominantly of locally produced wines. The Pepper Tree Winery and Tasting Barn also provides superb wine only a few footsteps from your room.
