The Longitude 131 Experience
Here is quite simply the best new wilderness hotel in the world, situated on a secluded sand dune close to the boundary of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Longitude 131 represents excellence in Australian design and environmental management. You can follow the footsteps of Australian explorers and pioneers and absorb the peace and solitude of this magical destination from a private and sophisticated viewing platform - your luxurious tent. Absorb the atmosphere of complete serenity whilst gaining insights into the spirit and history of the land and its unique ecological wonders. After a rebuild since October 2003, Longitude 131 is expected to reopen from 01 July 2004.

Accommodation - 15 rooms, Check in - 1 PM, Check out - 10 AM
Catering to just 30 guests, Longitude 131 is a deluxe camping experience like no other. Stay in one of only fifteen elevated permanent tents set on an isolated sand dune overlooking Uluru. Sleep in luxurious tranquility and wake to views of the brilliant changing colour displays. Rooms and facilities for disabled guests are provided. Non-smoking rooms are also available.

Dining
The tariff includes all meals and selected beverages. Relax in the Dune House - the central facility which includes a lounge, library and dining area together with a self-service open bar stocked with quality Australian and imported wines, beers, spirits and liqueurs, all of which are included. Dine on gourmet meals enjoying fresh Australian produce combined with local inspiration to make every meal a superb dining experience.

Activities
The resort has a swimming pool and spa. The minimum two night stay includes 2 morning and 2 afternoon fully guided tours, including the Uluru 'In Gorge' Dramatic Sunset tour. On this tour guests move to a quiet gorge at the base of the great monolith for a very personal, very dramatic view of sunset from 'within' Uluru. During sunset, Uluru changes dramatically and the size and scale of the formation is best gauged from a close up perspective. Another spectacular tour in the core program is the Kata Tjuta Sunrise tour where guests watch the sunrise from a special location before commencing the famous Valley of the Winds walk through the majestic domes and unparalleled scenery of Kata Tjuta.
