The Dunk Island Resort Experience
Dunk Island is located just off the Tropical North Queensland coast midway between Townsville and Cairns. It is famous for its World Heritage Listed rainforest leading right to the beach. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds with tropical wilderness and a superb range of resort facilities. With unique tracts of virgin rainforests, sweeping arcs of golden sands and lush tropical gardens, everything about Dunk Island says beauty, casual elegance and pure enjoyment.

The new Bayview Suites were refurbished in July 2003 to epitomise luxurious and contemporary beachside accommodation.

The Beachcomber Restaurant where the tariff includes breakfast and dinner daily provides a full buffet breakfast and 3 course table d'hote or themed buffet dinner specialising in fresh tropical cuisine. For outdoor evening dining enjoy a variety of outdoor casual dining options poolside and overlooking the glorious sunsets and starry nights above Brammo Bay. Gourmet BBQs offer traditional Aussie fare whilst So Wok Kitchen offers the true Asian kitchen style of fun dining. EJs On The Deck offers casual brasserie style meals and snacks for lunch by the main pool overlooking the bay. BBs On The Beach is open for lunch and afternoon snacks at the watersports beach. BBs offers a casual Australian beach cafe atmosphere. The Plantation Bar provides evening entertainment, and the Cascade Pool Bar is open every afternoon while you relax in this tranquil tropical setting.

Getting There
Regular flights are available from all major Australian capital cities to Cairns. The scenic twice daily flight (3 times daily in peak season) from Cairns to Dunk Island takes 40 minutes. Water transfers can be arranged from the mainland township of Mission Beach. Heli transfers can be arranged to the resort or private aircraft charter from Cairns to Dunk Island.

Spa of Peace & Plenty - Recently expanded into two wings with the creation of a new wet pavilion. The wings link together via a floating boardwalk with stunning gardens, cascading streams and a large reflection pond. It features two vichy rooms, a steam room and a double-sized signature treatment room as well as an oversized outdoor tub overlooking lush tropical gardens. Rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit by indulging in a range of spa treatments from facials to body wraps and massage. Choose from a range of treatments which embrace the use of flower, marine and plant essences and the techniques of the ancient arts of healing.

Dunk Island offers their new and challenging 18-hole resort course - the largest island golf course in Australia. The course layout and design was created by Scott Dowdle, who operates and maintains Queenslands leading international championship course, Laguna Quays. Due to limited luggage space on aircraft, Dunk Island carries a good range of golf clubs for hire.

Families are welcome. The Kids Club caters for children aged 3 to 12 years all year round. During Australian school holidays, a Keen Teens program operates for children up to 16 years with a range of activities during morning and evening sessions.

Honeymoon packages available on request.
