The Sails in the Desert Experience
Sails in the Desert is the premier hotel at Ayers Rock Resort with spacious, airy and exquisitely furnished rooms set in lush park-like grounds. Deriving its name from the distinctive sail-like structures, which provide shade and a touch of elegance to its design, Sails in the Desert is the ultimate in luxury in the Red Centre. Art, history and culture are depicted through stunning architecture, aboriginal artifacts and landscaped terraces.

All rooms have luxury extras and a private balcony. There are 6 deluxe spa rooms and two suites, each with a choice of one king size or two double beds. 12 Standard Rooms (4 with king beds) are designed for people with disabilities. Entrance ramps and 1 set of toilets are suitable for people with disabilities in public areas as well as lifts located in certain areas.

Dining
Kuniya restaurant offers contemporary Australian dining with an innovative menu combining the best of classic European Cuisine with Australian Outback produce and style. The Rockpool restaurant offers alfresco dining featuring Asian influenced and classic western cuisine. The Winkiku restaurant is a popular, relaxed, brasserie-style restaurant with a buffet breakfast, all-day menu plus dinner buffet with international and local influences. The Tali Bar serves light snacks, icy cold beverages and exotic cocktails poolside or indoors, with live entertainment in the evenings.

Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and 2 full-sized tennis courts as well as Biking, Art and Craft making, Birdwatching, Flora, Shopping, Walking.

Getting There
The hotel is situated 450km from Alice Springs. Complimentary transfers are provided to the hotel from the Ayers Rock Airport which is 6km away. The Yulara township is a 5 minute walk away.

Children
The resort provides a Child Minding Centre and babysitting services.
